EU funding for the modernization of the cycle path between the municipalities of Naklo and Kranj
The Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has approved funding for the “RRC – Kranj-Naklo-Zadraga” project. The project implemented by the municipality of Naklo within the framework of the agreement on the development of the Gorenjska region represents a value of 379 thousand euros, the contribution of the European Regional Development Fund amounting to 249 thousand euros. ‘euros.
As part of the project, the municipality of Naklo will develop the missing cycling infrastructure with associated equipment along the Kranj-Naklo-Zadraga cycle link. The project will result in a new cycle link between Duplje and Strahinj which will connect the settlements of Zgornje Duplje, Spodnje Duplje and Strahinj with the existing cycle link Strahinj-Naklo-Kranj. This will connect the three settlements of the municipality of Naklo to the regional center of Kranj.
The investment covers the development of a cycle link with a length of 2.55 kilometers. Once the project is completed, the total length of the cycle link will be 7.4 kilometers.
The investment will contribute to the development of sustainable mobility and urban mobility with the aim of improving the quality of urban air.
