Embassy social secretaries and cultural attaches celebrated at Meridian House

On an unusually hot evening on July 20, the Meridian International Center hosted a reception in honor of social secretaries and cultural attaches from embassies. The rather elegant assembly had the pleasure of hearing the remarks of the social secretary of the White House, Carlos Elizondo.

Ambassador Stuart Holliday, CEO of Meridian, welcomed attendees to the tenth annual event and told the social secretaries, “You actually do diplomacy in the most effective way” as “arbiters of a large number of decisions” and “the bridge between the embassies and Meridian”.
