Balance Awareness with Yasmin Ofeka at the Scotch Plains Library on Fridays in June
Friday mornings at 10 a.m. in June, join the Scotch Plains Public Library via Zoom for a different take on exercise! Seniors in particular are encouraged to join these classes, which are designed to address the loss of balance and strength that can occur with age. The instruction of Yasmin Ofek incorporates the principles of the Feldenkrais Method, which emphasizes conscious movement to enable your nervous system to discover easier and more efficient patterns of movement. With her knowledge of anatomy and her experience as a physical trainer, Yasmin’s classes can help you make a better connection between the brain and the body, while gently strengthening the muscles that keep your body upright.
All you’ll need is a chair and sneakers to experience this gentle yet effective approach to moving confidently throughout life!
Register now once to attend one (or all) of the classes in June (June 4, June 11, June 18 and June 25). You will immediately receive an email with the Zoom link which will be used for all June courses.
